Chilli Chocolate Chimichangas

Ingredients

  • 250g milk or dark chocolate
  • Byron Bay Chilli Co Red Cayenne Chilli Sauce
  • 8 thin flour tortillas
  • Vegetable oil
  • Icing sugar

Directions

  1. Cut the chocolate into 8 equal rectangular pieces
  2. Heat the tortillas very briefly in a frypan, turning over and removing from the heat
  3. Place a piece of chocolate in the centre of the warm tortilla and drizzle with chilli sauce
  4. Fold the ends in over the filling, then roll up sides to make a tight package
  5. Secure end flap with a toothpick
  6. Continue until all tortillas are filled
  7. Heat 2.5cm of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat
  8. When oil is hot, fry a couple of chimichangas at a time until crisp and golden on both sides
  9. Drain on kitchen paper
  10. Keep warm in the oven until all are fried
  11. Dust with icing sugar and serve hot
